Gammarus pulex are tiny crustaceans (around 2-3 cm) of the order Amphipoda. GAMMARUS are a major element in the diet of fish in the wild. These easy-to-feed dried freshwater shrimps are a source of macronutrients and trace elements as well as beta - carotene – a natural carotenoid – which plays an important role in many physiological processes and helps maintain fish in excellent condition. Freshwater shrimps also provide chitin, which acts as roughage, regulating digestive processes and preventing constipation. GAMMARUS is intended for feeding turtles and tortoises as well as large aquarium and pond fish.
