ARTEMIA SALINAArtemia is an extremely valuable live food for marine and freshwater fry as well as many marine invertebrates. Hatching is easy and does not require specialist equipment. The food is highly nutritious, free from parasites, and eagerly eaten by the fish. Hatching: dissolve 15-20 g of special salt for hatching Artemia salina in 1 litre of heavily aerated water of pH 7.5-8.5, and add 1-3 g of Artemia cysts. A hatching temperature of 28°C should produce a 90% hatch rate within 24 hours. Make sure the aeration is continuous. To harvest, stop the aeration and after a few minutes the nauplii will gather at the bottom of the container and can be siphoned off, while the empty shells float at the surface.
