A preparation for raising the pH in level in normal and breeding tanks. Alkaline water is typical of many biotopes, including those in which popular ornamental fish such as Malawi cichlids of the mbuna group, trofeus from lake Tanganyika and cichlids from Central America waters live. Raising the pH value is indispensable in keeping those fish in excellent condition, intensifying their coloration and promoting spawning and facilitating hatching. AQUALKAL pH PLUS prevents reduction in the pH value which is the result of natural processes that take place in the tank. When applying the preparation directly to the tank, the pH level should be monitored with a proper pH test. The change of pH level should not be higher than 0.2 pH a day.
